@JennieMiler it was said here many times that Fitbit devices are not medical equipment so I wouldn't rely on them having real medical condition. I would rather get BT HR monitor using more accurate technology ( ECG, optical but worn differently, far from wrist ) which can connect to your phone and use mobile apps to track and analyze data. The external monitors usually can connect and be used by variety of apps which can provide you lot more information. My wife sometimes borrows my chest strap for similar reason ( although she has no medical condition but she is always concerned ). Such devices very often have own memory so you don't need your phone to be nearby and you can extract data later. To test my strap once I just went into offline recording and worn it for 24 hours. Later extracted data with no problem. It may not he as convenient as watch but definitely more reliable. Mind that watches are worn on wrist and wrist is probably the worst place to wear the sensor if you want it to be reliable.

Hi @JennieMiler . These Fitbits are amazing devices, aren’t they? If you open the Fitbit app on your phone, tap Account -> Versa -> Apps > All Apps. From there, you can search for Heart. There are several apps available. See if any, will provide the info you want. Please let us know if you find one.

To be honest I think I wasted my money on this Versa. The $20 generic one I bought on Wish works better and did what I needed it to do. And no I didn't find what I was looking for. I had already done what you suggested and didn't find anything but I tried again. Still no. Seems Fitbit is only concerned with resting heart rates.

Let me confirm your suspicions...you did waste your money. As did I.

I spent 30 minutes talking with FitBit customer support this morning regarding the same issue with my Versa. While sitting down reading emails, I noticed my watch clocking my heartrate as in the 130s-160s. After speaking with customer support they said "it's an issue they're aware of and their specialist teams are working on it"..."we don't have a time frame when it will resolve and you won't be notified once the issue is solves. However, you may get an app update or the issue would be solved through our servers."

I bought my Versa 2 months ago (just outside the 45 day warranty). So that's essentially money spent for a sub-par smart watch (because without the fitness features, it's just a basic smart watch and there are better smart watches out there).

As you can tell...I'm still highly disappointed.

I'm actually having medical issues, this isn't a defective product. And it's shows that my heart rate is up but when I go to the app it doesn't give me anything....it only records my resting rate and never showed me the high heart rates.  Which is the main reason I bought this. So I can't show my doctor anything. Lately I've taken pictures of my Versa when it gets high so I can at least show her that. I would think tracking both resting and high rates would be important.

If you're having a medical problem, maybe the doctor can give you a heart rate monitor which will be more accurate than FitBit

That's the plan. But when I mentioned it to her the last time she asked when, how high, how long, etc...hence purchasing this expensive watch. The step counting isn't accurate either. I've been at my desk for 2 hours without getting up and it says Ive walked over 250 steps.

I know with the steps that the movement of your hands alone can cause the device to think you're taking steps. I try to minimize my step count by putting my watch setting on "dominant", but actually wearing the watch on my non-dominant hand (theoretically you move the non-dominant hand less; fitbit is more sensitive to filtering out false movements when the setting is put on dominant)

As for the heart thing...I'm not sure. My watch stopped working correctly this past week. Prior to that I was getting good graphs with my heart rate throughout the day.

Good luck!

Getting good graphs on what? Is there something I'm missing?

On the app. You click on heartrate and it'll give you a graph of your heart rate throughout the day

that's what I thought you were going to say. But when I look at mine it doesn't show my highest. It'll show some high ones like 101 but definitely not my highest of like 155 or anything like that.

When you  look at the heart rate graph on the dashboard, it averages the heart rate over 5 minute intervals.  This is not an ideal solution, but say you know your heart rate was elevated for 5 hours starting at 9am.  You could create an activity for that timeframe.  If you then go in and look at the details for that activity you are able to see a more detailed graph of  your heart rate.  (I tried creating an activity for 24 hrs and that seemed to blow the systems mind, when I tried to view the details of the activity, but I was able to create an 8 hour activity and view the details on it.)

I'm still learning how to work this thing. How do I create an activity??

It varies depending on the platform you are running the app on.  This article gives the steps for the various options.  https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge-HR/How-to-use-Manual-tracking-How-to-add-delete-and-edit-an-a...

Ok so creating an activity isn't going to work for me for what I need. However I think I did find something that might work. It's separate from Fitbit...it's a downloadable app called Tactio Health. And it works with my Fitbit and tracks several different things. I don't like that I have to use a different app BUT if it does what I need it to do I'll live with it. I didn't have an episode yesterday so I don't know for sure. I'll keep you posted on what I find out.

The Tactio app looks interesting.  I installed it, and connected my fitbit and withings scale, but it doesn't seem to pull in any data from them.  I see they have a note on the app that they are aware of problems with fitbit integration, but they don't have any estimated fix date.

I had an issue with it last night it took me I think 6 or seven tries before it finally transferred the data. now all I have to do is go into tachio and refresh the page and it automatically updates.

the only problem I currently have with it is that it didn't bring over all my data from my Fitbit. It's just tracking everything from the time I downloaded the app

I went back into the app and now it shows steps and pulse, so it looks like it just picks it up from current data and not history.  What did you select to track your heart rate.  I only see an option for resting heart rate?

Ok..... I've tried it for a few days. Although it Tracks a lot of information. It didn't do what I need it to do. Back to square one. Ugh
