My experience with Versa 2

Do not buy a Versa 2 smartwatch!

 

The Versa 2 smartwatch I purchased because of a $50 discount from black friday right out of the box never worked. It never would sync to my Samsung Galaxy S9 phone which was always up to date. I contacted support via live chat multiple times and they could never tell me more than what I could just google and find some vague troubleshooting steps which basically only boiled down to restart the devices and toggle bluetooth off and on until it eventually works. This thing is a complete waste of many and just a useless pile of rare earth metals. This isn't the first time this has happened either. I think there's a reason why for every one of Fitbit's products there are myriads of pages of people complaining that their devices won't sync. I had a charge HR way back in the day that worked for about a month and then just stopped connecting. I contacted fitbit live chat just like this time and their potential solutions were the exact same as the versa 2.

 

Fitbit will never be receiving any of my money ever again.

Eh I just got mine and it's working fine out of the box however I will say replacing the band on it was a frustrating process. 

 

No complaints other than that.

Had a Similar experience as well,

 

Bought a Versa 2 in September and just setting/pairing was an ordeal in itself. However after time the sync issues got worse and worse. I got a replacement versa 2 unit two weeks ago and somehow the syncing issues have gotten worse.

 

The daily trial of: Turning off/on bluetooth + force stopping fitbit app and restarting the watch in the hopes of getting it to sync or having to reset the phone itself is just ludicrous when trying to get the data off the watch!

 

I have raised a support ticket with them in the faint hope they will do something, but so far nothing much but the typical trouble shooting responses that have been posted in this forum to which really does nothing 😞

 

Hoping for a fix as the device is nice.. but with the device been unable to sync this turns this into a rather usless tracker...
