Just curious as to how many people are returning their Versa? Im thinking about it, because:
1. It doesnt sync properly half the time. I checked this morning, and it hadnt synced in almost 24 hours.
2. Notifications are so hit and miss that it makes them useless if you cant count on them to work.
3. The music control is terrible, i have only gotten it to work twice. And there is no specific set of instructions to get it to work, it just randomly does.
4. Bluetooth wont stay connected, so it doesnt work well with Smart Lock on my Samsung phone. Half the time it smart unlocks (even though it says its not connected), and half the time i need to enter my pin/iris unlock the phone.
5. Clock faces are painful to swap. I get a "no internet" error when trying to change faces, even though i have internet on my phone. And certain faces reset to their default colors randomly.
6. Waking the screen up is difficult at times. I have to violently shake my wrist to get the screen to come on. Other times, i will be sitting still, and the screen will turn on and off repeatedly.
I havent had a fitbit in a couple of years, but i expected alot more from them on this device. I had a pebble years ago, and never once had these kinds of issues. It synced perfectly, and i had no issues controlling music at all, so im not sure where the difficulty lies in the current devices.
EDIT: Kind of shady, they changed the title of this topic from "how many are returning your Versa" to "need help getting started with my Versa". I did NOT make that change myself.
EDIT 2: I think im going to return it today, and get a Samsung Gear S3 Frontier, since they are on sale. I got music controls to work, and the watch synced ok for a couple days, but all of sudden it has decided it doesnt want to sync anymore--again. From what i can tell, if you walk out of range of your phone, it cannot reconnect again, unless you unpair and re-pair the device.

Well, the problem seems widespread, as you can plainly see there are multiple posts regarding the issues, so getting a replacement from Fitbit doesn't really fix anything, as we would most likely encounter the same issues with a "new" device. Versa's that work seem to be the anomaly here, and you having one that works without issue is the outlier. And i dont think its too much to ask to have the devices work correctly out of the box. Fitbits ONLY business is wearables, so they should have it down to a science after this many years, and after acquiring the company that had the original software to make all this work. My pebble from years ago never had these issues, so expecting a brand new $200+ plus piece of technology to work is reasonable i think.
And i wasn't the person that responded to your post, but you also didnt offer any real help either. Saying "check the settings on your phone" isn't a fix. So if you aren't able to actually help, you probably shouldn't post here either, by your reasoning.

Did, as I clearly said, 3 times, I had 3 versa.
I asked for help, they had none.
They said that there were problems, and they fixed, but they had not.
(I tell this because it seems you didn't bother to resd the forums lately, otherwise you would know why this tired people you dispise is complaining)
And yes, I want help from somebody competent, I don't need bashing from someone that doesn't even bother to read the updates, nor the posts, but acts like knows everything.
You just came in this topic you're not interested in to show off that you have no problems and to state that our problems are our fault, yep, quite useful.
200 $ for you might be nothing, for some of us are a lot, and Fitbit it's not gifting anything, we paid, we have to get a working product.
Did it come to your mind that if you change you phone you wold probably end between us? You find normal that Ionic users have a not working product since almost a year, as you said "as there is with any new technology". I don't know how it works wherever you live, but here customers have rights.
I cannot take a 200 $ jump of faith because maybe someday they will fix this, it's not normal with any tech. And we jump to change it because if they don't fix it, as happened with other devices, we cannot change anymore. So yes, we would love a statement that assures the upgrading of the bt issues as soon as possible, and not silence.

Jerrodbug you have a fair point, and I agree that Fitbit should be responsive to issues. And checking the setting on your phone is a tip, I'm a member of a Facebook group for the versa and several people on there have talked about their phone settings, etc. I was simply trying to pass along information that has helped me. If it didn't come across that way I apologize.
Abissinian, your post is quite disrespectful and ignorant. If you're speaking to the Fitbit representatives like you're speaking on here, no wonder they aren't listening to you. I feel no need to respond to you any further. Good luck with your device.

nope, they never treated me or other users like you did.
I also find your "fanboy" posts disrespectful (you actually put yourself as knowing more than us, not I) and ignorant (you didn't know what you were talking about), so the same.
Well, now we'll never know why you can complain about us and we cannot about you. .

Mine do too if the bt for the audio is on. If your's on try to turn it off.
But yes, first days I had 4 days of battery life, now much less...

I pre-order grey versa but waiting a month and so i cancel my order. The reasons were not only the delay on the delivery from fitbit even i pre-order it but also all these negative reviews and all that problem people have with new devices... I would like to stay on fitbit as an owner of a charge hr but i could not wait few months for problems to solved. So i made a research and i decide to buy the Germin Vivoactive 3. I have it for few days now and works flowlessly and have gps. I hope fitbit fix problems as soon as possible because versa is a very nice device.

I just did a count out of interest and so far 9 people have responded on this thread that they are unhappy with their versa and have or probably are returning it. There are always unhappy people - some with good reason I know. 9 seems a pretty small number to me!

I am having the same problems. I thought it was just me; I'm kind of glad it's not. I think I may be returning it...

If anyone who already return him/her Versa bought some other smart/fitness watch do you think he will read or respond to this post?

Returned mine a couple of days ago. The fitbit pay feature is not ready to go yet, no support for Spotify - have to use this weird ripoff that nobody actually uses, and to top it off I had sync issues with sleep tracking. So I'm thinking they need to do a bit more development before they release new hardware in the future.

I'm about to return for the second time. So in total i had 1 black en 2 peach versions where the 2 peach where both very off in regards to the heartrate. Like 30bpm which is offcouse not acceptable. Although it feels sort of satisfying to burn fat while reading a book according to the watch. That has been the only reason. Further, i think it's a bit disappointing that they talk about womens health in all the marketing and you have to find out in the fineprint that it comes later to only US residents.

If you go on the topic with the sum of the problems and count the people who said they had returned, they are a lor more than 9.
[edit: you cant'. They deleted it]
And if you read in the other language board the problem is the same.
Many have just returned it, and won't reply here.
Yes, there are always unhappy people for many reasons. But here there are problems and numbers too high for a brand like this. I was actually sure they would fix the problems, I always heard only good things about fitbit. But I have to change phone, and the new will sure be incompatible. The ionic users in theyr bord stated thet in 1 year the problems are not fixed, and this worries me.
Theese numbers are not normal.
I still have 2 weeks to decide, but my new phone will arrive in 3, I'm not sure I can take the risk 😕
And I never ever had any issues with bt devices, from 10 dollars ones to more expensive...
The solution to bt protocols problems can't be "change your phone with an older one"...
And the absence of aknowledgment of the matter from "long time fans" and the brand, make me think that if I buy a 4th versa, it will never work either.
Actually, yes, you convonced me, I'll take it bak tomorrow, so you'll lose a problem. Because all I noticed it's that addressing problems is not welcomed.
It's a shame. I had great expectations of this brand and community, I'm in other similar brand community and always recived help and understanding and brands that works to improve. Not silence, bashing and undermining and hiding behind die hard fans.

With the initial problems everyone is having with the Versa, and as it appears, I'm one of those people also, I was looking at sending mine back in and switching to the Ionic. Is it that much better? Are you not having issues? I received my Versa in the mail on 4/28 so I have 45 days from that date to return it. Correct? Otherwise, my other option is the iWatch.

I have the Ionic and my wife has the Versa. She seems to be having no issues with the Versa. There are always going to be some issues as tech is not perfect. I love my Ionic. If you dont mind it being larger I say get it as it is a nice watch and it has built in GPS if you need it. Its also on sale for $249.

I've had my Versa for a little over a week. I've had to just file a ticket with support because the battery sucks. I've lost 50% battery, with everything turned off, in less than 24 hours. I didn't buy this watch so that everything had to be turned off. I like the looks, fit, and tracking features, but this battery life is unacceptable.

I just returned my Versa. Apparently the water pressure in my shower was greater than 50 meters underwater and it stopped working. I'm going to try again with a new Versa, but if this one craps out too. I'm done.

I am at exactly the same point with Fitbit. Had a Blaze first, it was totally inaccurate on step counting. Got a replacement which was just as bad, so had my money back from Amazon. Foolishly then bought a Charge 2 which seemed to be better on step counting at first, but is now undercounting steps by anywhere between 15 and 40%. As I like the Fitbit app and community I was going to give the Versa a try, but after reading all the problems people are having I've decided to ditch Fitbit and move on. Just not sure what to get now.

Im still waiting for my replacement to arrive to their return center. For some reason it took their FedEx Smart Post service two full weeks? On top of that I have to wait up to 5 days for them to verify and then ship out a replacement. Screen stopped working randomly after a week and half (apparently I’m not the only one). I might just return it when I get the replacement within 45 days and do brick and mortar in case I run into any more issues. No time for taking videos for support and dealing with slow return service.
