My account was set up for my first Fitbit versa I set that watch back to factory settings and gave it to my friend because I had a brand new one at home. Now I'm having trouble with the new watch to sync it to my Fitbit app ?

Was your friend around when you tried to set up the new versa? I'm wondering if your phone still has a connection to the old fitbit in its bluetooth settings that blocking connection to your new versa. Try "forgetting" any link to fitbits in the bluetooth settings and try the setup again.
