New versa already got steps on it

Help just got my new versa which is a replacement for my Alta which i loved.  so ive just set it all up and it says i have done over 23,000 steps which i havent.  how can i get it to 0 and start afresh

Congratulations on your new Fitbit Versa! I am glad to hear that you loved your Alta, but now you're about to upgrade your health-tracking experience with your new watch. All of the device's data should be cleared when the device is paired to your Fitbit account. To confirm the steps to set up your device please see this help article: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

 

Your device also resets the data to zero each night at midnight. Please let me know if you're still having this difficulty?
