No Text Notifications for Versa 2

I have a Fitbit Versa 2 and I am getting all notifications except my text notifications on it. I have started and restarted both my phone and the versa several times , disconnected and reconnected Bluetooth several times, deleted app several times, checked all settings to line up (Iphone do not disturb off, Iphone airplane mode off, Iphone text notifications on, Iphone Bluetooth notifications on, Fitbit App do not disturb off, Fitbit notifications on, Versa do not disturb off, Versa notifications on, Versa Sleep mode off and Text messaging notifications on). I have looked up other forums and it seems either the person was missing something from above or Fitbit has no solution. I am coming up on a year of the limited warranty so just need some last minute advice before I get a new one/switching to an Apple watch.

I am not getting my text message alerts on my Versa 2 Lite-- I have done everything as well, this is so annoying.

I have recently upgraded my Fitbit Charge 2 to a Versa 2, and I a, unable to load any notifications - not emails or text messages and calls.  I have also tried deleting the device, deleting the Fitbit app and reinstalling, double checking the Bluetooth connection but no joy.  Can I ask if you use an iPhone or Android? I use an iPhone and just wonder if it is a compatibility issue,

I have an Iphone 6s+, base on what you have told me I would look into settings on the iphone the versa and the fitbit app. If you have already done so I got no answers.
