No longer getting step count on workout

The morning after I updated my Versa 2, I (as normal) started the workout function on “walk”. It has ALWAYS shown steps, time and miles. Now...instead of the number of steps I’m at, it is starting out immediately by showing 0’ 00”.

what the heck?!?  I don’t want yards and inches in the middle of the workout face, or anywhere for that matter! (miles is in small lettering at top and time is on the bottom). I walk for the purpose of getting my 10,000 steps. I can’t do that with it showing yards and inches!  Who’s idea is this and why did they change it?  I’ve searched and searched and can’t find why...or how...to get it back to how I had it (and LOVED it that way!). However, if I open the app on my phone it WILL show the steps...just not on my Fitbit face. Not acceptable!

@SunsetRunner   A little explanation for you.  That 0' 00"  isn't feet and inches.  It is your current pace.  Pace is minutes per mile or minutes per kilometer, depending on your distance unit.  It is at 0' 0" when you start because you are standing still.

You can customize the stats you see on the Versa 2 face.  I believe that the top stat is distance and the bottom stat is elapsed time by default in the Walk shortcut.  You can scroll/tap through the middle stat and customize those choices.  Page 47 of the Versa 2 manual will help get you started.

Let's swipe the screen to the stat you want to see.

You said you updated the firmware, which will reset some of your settings.

@LZeeW , You ARE AWESOME!!  Thank you very much!  I had checked the manual and the chats but just didn't look in the right place apparently.  I guess the almost year of having this Versa, and doing the initial setup I'd forgotten (or maybe didn't do it in the beginning), but in any case, I got it back to where it's been.  I'm just curious why, with doing an update, it makes changes to what you've set up to what/how you want things (and I deliberately kept postponing the update 'cause I didn't want to deal with "surprises".  Thank you again for your help...

You're AWESOME!  I'd checked the manual (apparently I didn't get to the right page) and the chats and could find nothing.  Upon initial set-up almost a year ago, I'm not sure if I knew this and forgot or just haven't seen that screen before.  Not sure why doing an update it would make any changes to your "preferences".  In any case, went in, made changes back to original and it's just like it's suppose to be!  Thank you so much for your help!

@SunsetRunner   I'm not which update you are referring to, as I currently have a Charge 4 on my account.  But I have a lot of experience with the Versa series and am glad I could help.

Thank you for the wonderful shout out. 😉
