This afternoon my Fitbit Versa screen went black.  Versa is completely charged.  Nothing displays on screen.  When I hold the button I get a white glow, but no display.  The Fitbit is still registering my steps and heart rate, but the watch face is blank.  How do I get this fixed?

I had the same issue with mine this week. According to Fitbit CS there is nothing i can do to fix the issue, not even a repair. Very upset due to the fact its costed me almost 400$ and 1 year later its dead when it worked perfectly up until this week. My other 2 Fitbit watches are still working perfectly after many years. They said the best they can do is give me 20% off my next purchase. Btw, this has been happening to many Versa owners in the last 2 months, call and complain!

I just had this same issue happen to me this morning! It shows on the app my Versa is fully charged, but yes screen. It wants to start but can’t I called tech support this morning and was offered 25% off my next purchase. My Versa is only 17 mos. old! This shouldn’t happen.

I also had this happen to my Versa yesterday. I kept feeling it vibrate quickly and would look at screen - the screen showing the time and steps would flash briefly, then go gray. A few minutes later another quick vibration and same thing. Drained the batter from 40% to 0 in 3 hours. So NOT happy. Not wanting to buy a new one. I purchased this one on 9/24/18 - 18 months ago.

I took advantage of the 25% off offer. I ordered the new Versa 2. We shall see....

I am in the same boat- although the warranty is a year, it doesn't mean the watch's life cycle should only be a year.

Watch screen is black, green flashing lights in the back stopped working, but still vibrates when I receive messages.

Unfortunate because I used my watch constantly 😞 25% discount they provided won't be enough for me to afford a new watch

This happened to me last night, I bought my FitBit maybe 6-8 months ago so it’s pretty new and I’m not into anything that would bang it around and damage it. Last night the screen went blank, I tried turning off and on but I got a screen that said I needed to sync it. Tried to sync it, app can’t find the device. I’m pretty disappointed that a fairly new and cared for device would fail so soon.

I correlate this to a new car. When the Versa first came out, it was a “brand new model.” Don’t EVER buy the first year of a new model car! All of the bugs haven’t been worked out. 😉 Fitbit should have a longer warranty. I might call them back and ask if i van buy the protection plan....

Same here. I am a Teaching Assistant. I work out on a regular basis. It’s not like I’m doing Ironman competitions. Things shouldn’t break like this, this soon.

I messaged FitBit’s help line and they tried to fix it over the phone then sent me a new one when the repair attempts failed. So try contacting them first, they might replace which is way better than buying another one. I probably won’t buy another Versa though. They seem way too delicate for what they are intended. I’d probably go back to the Charge line.

This is my 3rd fibit watch and 4th Fitbit product in 5 years. The first (charge) still functions perfectly today. The last 2 were Versa 2 and the first malfunctioned after 1 year and 1 week. They replaced it with a new one which screen went blank after 10 months.  To be honest, I shouldn't have to be obliged to buy a new watch every year, i rather buy one when i feel like an upgrade. Regardless of all the recent complaints for the same issue, Fitbit only offered me 25%off "selected" products. To be honest, I rather invest in another brand that will accept some liability for defective products!

I already bought a new one. Mine was out of warranty, but FitBit gave me 25% off a new one.

I turned my fitbit off and let the battery go all the way down, then charged it and it worked and is still working.
