I have tried multiple times and cannot get my FitBit Versa to display my texts and phone calls. They did at one point, then stopped. I have gone into settings on my iPhoe, done all of the things, gone into notifications in the FitBit app, and when I select Notifications there, it just spins and fails to connect. I followed all of the instructions listed here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Versa-Versa-Lite/Versa-is-syncing-but-I-m-not-getting-text-notificat...
but cannot get past the notification setup in the FitBit app and get a message: "Bluetooth Pairing Failed. Call notifications and All-Day Sync are disabled for now". My steps and Strava all sync up just fine. Ideas?

I have had the same problem it just stopped working I went through all of the steps several times, Fitbit said they were having issues that would be sorted asap that was two weeks ago, I have just taken my back to the shop I purchased it from and changed it for a new one and am having the same problem again!!!

I'm the same! its so annoying!
But there was an update on the app, which I did on Saturday night and that when the notifications stopped, so it must be a software issue. The message displays if you swipe down after hearing a beep on my phone but you no longer get a notification for messages or calls, Everything else works fine.
Hope it's rectified soon!

Ok so check this out. I had the same problem for 2 months and I’ve done the same as you with trying everything. I just called Fitbit and they fixed it in like 10 seconds. Press and hold the left button and you will see the word notifications pop up along with screen wake. Turn it back on. I guess from doing some of the workouts my wrist pushes that button and turns the setting off. Not a great design. Hope that helps.

I've also done this so many times and it does nothing. After I do this, I swipe right and it says "connect phone - Pair your phone in your settings app under Bluetooth", but I cannot for the life of me get the app to find our wifi and pair. Like i said, it worked and was great then one day I made no changes and it stopped working.
