No text notifications on Versa 2

Hello! 

I got a versa 2 a few weeks ago and it has never shown text notifications. I do get call notifications. I have read the other threads that address this issue, so my settings are all on the suggestions. Still, no messages, never even a message asking for me to allow them. Please help!
