I am unable to get notifications on my fitbit device. It displays a message that a phone restart is required to do the same but despite doing it multiple times it doesn't work

Hi @Cheshta_Bajaj, welcome to the Community Forums.
I appreciate the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which mobile device are you currently using? Also, when was the first time you experienced this? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Fitbit are correctly configured and to try some troubleshooting steps.
Looking forward to your reply.

I am using a Samsung Galaxy. It's the same phone that has always worked fine with my Fitbit Versa 2.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Hromyaks.
Thank you for joining the thread and sharing your experience. I recommend checking if your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update the Fitbit app?
Hope this helps.
