My new versa 2 will not give me text alerts. I have everything on the correct settings. I do get call alerts, messenger alerts, and calendar alerts. I have even tried doing a factory reset to start over with setup, but that didn’t help either.

Just to be sure nothing was missed did you do the following?

 

In the phone Fitbit App

Click on profile photo [top left]

Device photo [middle left]

Notifications

And verify the top 4 items are correctly defined,

 

Especially text messages match that of your phone and your phone produces notifications when a text message is received

 

Also

App notifications

and select any apps you want to hear from.

To better assist you with this situation, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? I suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps that were shared by @Guy_ and let me know if the issue persists.
