Not tracking sleep

My husband and I just bought Fitbit Versa. And it’s not tracking his sleep, and the heart rate works when it wants ? These things are brand new !!! What’s going on ? Tried reboot and reset, nothing improved. I still have my Fitbit HR and it works perfectly fine and it’s way older.

Hi, in order to log Sleep correctly, it will need to have an accurate HR reading, especially the resting HR during sleep. When HR monitoring is not working well, Sleep is also not logged. You have tried already a restart and a reset. After that last one, did you setup the Versa again to your phone's Fitbit app? This is necessary as the Versa is acting like a new watch after a reset. Try to set it up again with your phone and if it's asking "there is already a Versa present, should it be replaced, press simply yes and continue the process as usual.

I actually did not do that after the reset. I will try this and see how it goes. Thank you !

So that seemed to help. But after doing some research it seems having tattoos does have an affect to reading the HR. Which my husband is covered in them, so BINGO that’s the root of the problem. Lol.

I have had my Versa for awhile now and for some reason it didn't recognize my sleep last night and it doesn't show the how did you sleep information from previous nights, weird.
