Hello! I'm having trouble activating vibration for text notifications. I receive notifications but without vibration. Yesterday I made the update and note that I no longer have the option to turn on or off notifications on the fitbit watch, which appeared along with the screen wake option when I kept the left button pressed. When I get calls it vibrates , but not with texts. I have an Android and this had not happened to me before. I already checked the options of vibrating and that notifications are activated in the app, but when I slid down the screen of the versa, I have notifications and I don't realize it because it doesn't vibrate, just calls.

I am also having this same issue since the update. It does seem to be taking a long time to resolve. The vibration text and email notification was my most used feature since I work in a very busy office atmosphere. Leaving my phone at my desk when I went to meetings and other areas of the office was so convenient, knowing I would at least get a quick buzz notification, but now I don’t get them at all. It has been very inconvenient. Please find a solution quickly or I will have to resort to getting an Apple Watch.

Also having these issues. Very frustrated, as I’ve gone through the troubleshooting steps with customer service & on my own several times. For me, this is an ACCESSIBILITY issue as I’m deaf and can’t hear my phone. I’m ready to kick my long term relationship with Fitbit to the curb and get an Apple Watch instead. Sayi”we’re working on it” for over a month is ridiculous.

I finally reached out to them and explained I had done everything they listed. Finally they said they have to do another update and to wait for that. Didn’t get a time frame but I am frustrated too.

My issue was resolved. I recently had an update but I needed to do s factory reset. Once I did the update AND the factory reset, I started receiving vibrations on all my notifications.

I am having the same issue. My watch is no longer vibrating when a text arrives. I have checked all the items in this thread except I have not tried a factory reset. Will that help? Versa is paired with a Samsung Note 8

I did the factory reset, and it did solve the issue. My Fitbit operates quite a bit slower than it did before the update that caused the problem in the first place, but I do at least get my notifications now.

I was having the same issue but I factory reseted my ionic and unpaired it from my bluetooth. I then linked it back to my S8. Seems to be working now!

I purchase a Vera Lite on 30/12/2019 everything was working great, using it through iPhone 8. A notification came through on the 4/1/2020 for firmware watch update. Processed update, I am now having same issue since updating the firmware on my versa lite. Its NOT vibrating for text messages, emails or increase of screentime from my kids, I get the notification but it is no good when it doesn't vibrate to let me know I have a text or email etc. Watch vibrates for incoming calls and other notification that come from fitbit app.
Hoping for a quick resolution, as I had no issues with the device before, and this is one of the main reason I purchased watch as I have my phone on silence when Im at work and the vibrate on my wrist alerted me.
Please advise when this problem is looking at being fixed. I see from this thread the problem has been ongoing for lots of people since Oct 2019.
Should I do a factory reset???

I also did a factory reset and it corrected the notification issue. To do a reset you just need to open the Versa Settings app > About > Factory Reset.

Sounds like the best solution is to do factory reset and see if it fixes the problem, thanks everyone for your input.
I only purchased watch 2 weeks ago, from this thread it has been an ongoing problem since Oct 19. You would think Fitbit tech's would of come up with a fix for the problem and put out another firmware update to reverify non vibrating problem.
Note: I phoned fitbit yesterday advising them of the non vibrating issue I have had since the firmware update and I have done all troubleshooting and it still wasn't working. They advised me it was a motor problem and my watch would need to be replaced after I forward receipt of purchase, wasn't anything to do with update.
I will update you all on outcome - from Fitbit and after I do factory reset.

Has anyone solved this? I still don't have vibrate notifications for text or apps, and I really miss that feature. Mine started with the same update, I think. I also have Versa and an android phone.

A factory reset of my versa did get notifications working again. It sounds like that has worked for several people, but maybe not quite everyone... Definitely worth a try though!

I just started having an issue with my Fitbit versa lite. I used to get a vibration when I received a text message. After doing an update it no longer does it. I really enjoyed that feature. I have even looked on my settings and it’s turned on but still no longer receive the vibration. Can someone please look at this

I recently bought Fitbit Versa, and did a fireware update to (32.71.6.19) after which i am missing the notification to vibrate when i get a new notification. Is there a fix for this issue..?

Remove the device on Fitbit app and then set it back up. this solved my problem.
