Hello,
restarting phone, reinstalling app and other solutions from forum didn't help.
Xiaomi Mi 9T, Andoid 9 PKQ1.190302.001, MIUI 10.3.12.0
As this is a new phone, it's much cheaper to buy supported Xiaomi smartwatch, than change the phone to get Versa working. Will wait for week or two.

@Andrei-fb welcome to our Fitbit Community! Regarding the notification service issue that you are experiencing with your Versa, I'm afraid that the Xiaomi Mi 9T is not in the supported devices list. This may be the reason why the feature is not working properly.
In the meantime, I'd like you to submit a compatibility request in our Feature Suggestions board and people can vote for it. The more votes your request gets, the more chances it will have to be reviewed by our developers.
I'll be around if any question arises.

Thank you, I'll post my suggestion there.
But as I have to buy a new smartwatch after only a year of Versa using I feel a bit disappointed. Was there any caution on the box: "Please check if your phone is supported"?..
