Why do I bother with the Fitbit? I wanted to monitor activity and also to display notifications from my phone. At the moment it does 50% of that and keeps saying notification setting on the phone is off. I haven't changed anything on the phone and the only way I solved this before (2 days ago) was to delete and re install the App. I can't do that every 2 days. Please help.
I've tried the other bits of restarting both phone and watch and deleting pairing

I’m sorry to hear you’re having problems, @MartinBooth. What phone are you using? Is it on the list of compatible devices? Please let us know and we can try trouble shooting from there.

@MartinBooth - I’ve read that there is a problem with bluetooth when connecting your Fitbit device to a Huawei phone. Your version is listed as compatible but since it is experiencing random problems, you may want to check this info (below) I found while searching the Help Docs. It’s not for your phone, per say, but for a similar one and is probably worth a try.
Searching the Community, I found a couple postings that may help. Here is one. This thread proved helpful to another Huawei P20 phone.
Please let us know if you are able to resolve this issue. Other posters will want to know.
P.S. A good first step is always to check if your phone’s OS, the Fitbit app and the Fitbit device are all up to date.
How do I use the Fitbit app on my Huawei P20 Lite phone?
To use the Fitbit app on your Huawei P20 Lite phone, verify the following settings:
