well i have owned my first ever Fitbit for less than 6 hours and i have to say i wish i had never wasted my money on it. it turns out that i can't use it with my phone because the engineers didn't test it with my phone (a oneplus). then i tried to sync it with my ipad but this won't work either even though i have an ipadAir.
i have phoned the helpdesk 4 times now, each time i have struggled to understand the person on the other end of the line as they seem incapable of giving me a straight honest answer.
is this a normal Fitbit experience or have i just been particularly unlucky? i have a versa i can't actually use and have wasted hours trying to sort this out.
really not impressed.

Hey Rachel, I can't speak to your phone (don't have that model) but it definitely should work with your ipad - what error message are you getting? Re: Fitbit service, I've had pleasant experiences using their chat service, maybe you can try there? You get to keep the transcript and the log number can be referred to in future which I found more helpful than calling.
Hope you get it resolved.

Thanks Brad.
I will try that and see where I get. I am still no further forward. Had I known how difficult it would be to get the thing working I really wouldn't have bothered 😞
Oh well, first world problems I know but not what I expect having paid a lot of money for a versa
Thanks for your response

Unfortunately I think your experience sounds both normal and also unlucky. I bought the super expensive Aria 2 and had a horrible time with it and customer service wasn’t helpful and eventually had to return it (wouldn’t set up or read accurately). Then I decided to get the Versa and was expecting similar problems but it set up instantly with no problems and I haven’t had any big issues with it since. I think some of this is luck of the draw. I sincerely hope Fitbit didn’t release a watch that wasn’t 100% ready but there does seem to be some evidence of that.
