Option To Set Time When Versa 2 Updates Software

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I only use my Versa 2 to track my sleep so I don't want it updating its software over night.  That seems to be the default and on those nights, it loses my sleep data.  Is there a way to force it to only allow software updates from say noon to 8pm?  Thanks.

I don't think there are any updates that would cause you to lose sleep  data.

There are 2 types of updates: software update to app on phone, and firmware update to actual Fitbit.

For the app update, you have control over that.  If you have auto-updates turned on, you can disable them for the Fitbit app.  But that should not affect sleep tracking which can happen without phone nearby, or even turned on, though it might have to sync with phone app after waking up.

As for firmware updates, they are infrequent, and never start without your go-ahead.  You will get a notice on phone app that update is available, and you have to choose to start the update.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi, thanks for your reply.  Yes, I'm talking about the firmware updates.  I'll wake up in the morning and my fitbit is unresponsive due to a firmware update in progress and then it will lose my sleep data for that night.  This has only happened twice so not a huge deal but I would like to have control over when the firmware update happens.  I've never gotten notification of a pending update asking for my permission for it to happen.  That would solve my issue.  I hope you and yours are safe and well.

OK, correction, I didn't lose my data last night.  I just discovered that I can manually enter my sleep start and end and it fills in the data through the firmware update.  So that solves that problem.  I would still like control over when the firmware update happens.
