Hi,
I have had my Versa Lite for 4 months. It worked nicely up until a month ago. I have to pair it to my phone every time I want to calculated my distance when cycling or walking. If I want to control my music I have to pair it each time as well.
It receives all my notifications and phone calls. It also reads when I am spinning and lifting weights.
I called the warranty service to see if this is a defect. They did not know what to do, that they had not had any issue like this come up. The rep. said it was going under investigation. This was 4 days ago and I have not heard anything from them, nor did I receive a case/dispute number.
What should I do next.

I'm having the same issue. Whenever the connection between my phone and my Versa Lite breaks (Bluetooth turned off on the phone, distance...), both devices never connect again even though my phone is paired with the watch. So when I ride my bike, it will never connect to the GPS again.
What you can do while we both wait for a fix is to set up your device again as if you were replacing it. You'll have to enter the 4 digits again, the exercise list will reset and so will the setting in the Exercise app, so this is why it's just a temporary fix. I'm putting an emphasis on that so that people at Fitbit don't accept this band-aid solution as a solid troubleshooting option. I shouldn't have to reset my entire Exercise app among other settings just because my watch can't connect to a phone it was paired to 10 minutes ago.
