Problems with Versa 2

I just got this for Christmas. Last night I dunno what happened, but I guess my versa 2 shut itself off after I fell asleep. Had a hard time getting it to turn on this morning, because it kept shutting back off.  Not a battery issue- when I finally got it to turn on and stay on, the battery was at 60 something percent.  I had to redo a lot of things- like having to resynchronize my Alexa.  I also  don't have any stats. It wasn't allowing me to charge it until I turned it off and on a few times.  Now that *that* parti seems to be working and fixed, I've noticed that my versa 2 is no longer getting notifications for texts or phone calls. It was working just fine prior to last night.  I have a Motorola G7 Supra. I've deleted the Fitbit cache (as suggested) and restarted everything, but I'm getting frustrated.  This thing is less than a month old.  Please advise.

Your phone is not on the Approved Devices list so may work for some functions and not others.

You could try a Factory Reset by swiping left to Settings and then About, Factory Reset.

Well, folks, it's been a frustrating day.  I have been advised that since my phone isn't on the "compatible phones" list, there's nothing that could be done to help me.  I was also advised NOT to factory reset my decice after a very frustrating and fruitless interaction with tech support.  Don't get me wrong- they were absolutely polite.  But unhelpful. I've done tech support for years, and I KNEW there had to be SOMETHING I could do to fix the problem,d them telling me there was nothing that could be done.

I WAS RIGHT.

4 1/2 hours later, here are the steps I took to fix the problem.

1.Force stop app on phone.

2.Delete cache and memory of app on phone.

3.  Completely uninstalled app from phone.

4. Restart phone.

5. Factory reset Fitbit while phone is restarting.

6. Turn on Fitbit.

7. Install app from Playstore.

8. Follow instructions... Kinda like you just took it out of the box.

9. Gonna have to sit there for however long it takes to install the updates... But after all is said and done, my notifications are working again.

The end.
