Random steps on Versa while immobile

My versa was sitting on my desk the other day nothing was causing it to move and I had 44,000 steps. I turned my Fitbit off after that didn’t work I did a factory reset and it still didn’t work.

@Syd309 Welcome! It's great to see you around. Sorry to hear that your Versa is counting steps. When you say that you restarted and did a factory reset and that it didn't work do you mean that this is happening again or that the steps weren't removed from your account? Has this happened other times? How many steps do you usually see? If this happened again how often does it happens?

I look forward to your reply!

Yes it happened again after I restarted my Fitbit and after I did a factory reset. The first time it was about 4,000 something steps and the next day it was 44,000

Hi Syd~  this subject comes up a lot on the forums it seems.
From my own personal experience, I recently discovered that it has to do with vibration (that may not be the case for all the users that post issues, but you'll notice a fair amount that find vibrations to be the culprit).

Check out this thread... I've posted towards the bottom in blue.
