Hi! My versa has bit the dust...not all of it. Just portions. The heart rate, the automatic activity, the sleep patterns, sensor on the back all stopped working. I done some research and see that this is a problem specifically with the verses. I have had Fitbits since the beginning but now afraid to invest in another that may have the same issues. Has anyone else went with a 2 or 3 and not have them stop? Gps is not really a main feature for me deciding - but working definitely is! Has an

Maybe you have already checked all this, but unless your heart is set on a new tracker, I would make sure that yours is really gone.
It sounds like 2 issues:
1. SmartTrack, auto-exercise recognition.
2. Heart rate not tracking.
1. For auto-recognition of exercise, that is hit-or-miss on probably all models, depending on which exercise it is. I find it useful for 'Walking' but would never rely on it for anything else. I personally think using the Exercise App is a better alternative anyway.
2. Heart rate not working, which would prevent sleep stages.
First, realize Heart Rate can be turned on or off in Settings on Versa. Check to see that it is turned 'On' there.
Then try a restart by pressing the left and bottom right buttons, and hold in until get Fitbit logo. I just watched a youtube video showing a restart fixing heart rate sensor on Versa. If that doesn't work, try different combinations of turning 'heart rate' off (or on) before restart, then turning it back on after restart.
Or maybe you are anxious to get a new model. But I thinl the Versa is a fine model, and the 2 extra buttons give you more versatility in navigation and apps, and I see many people thinking a new tracker is going to fix all problems that might be more on the back end than with the tracker itself.

I bought a Fitbit HR3 and can't see the screen outdoors. Many people have the same problem. I need something I can use so I'll have to switch brands for one that works. Sorry but no more fitbits for me. I would warn you to avoid them.
