Restarting the Versa

The instructions for restarting the Versa say "To restart your watch, press and hold the back and bottom buttons for a few seconds until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen." I held the buttons but don't get the Fitbit logo the screen just goes black for a fraction of a second then redisplays the clock screen - Does anybody else have the same issue when they restart their veresa? I am trying to restart as a first step since I seem to have have lost bluetooth connection between versa and both phone app  and windows app (was working fine till yesterday and phone is still seeing other bluetooth things - I unpaired and it will no longer pair).

I am having the same issue. I try holding for 20 secs. Tried the back and bottom buttons, tried all three buttons. Can't get it to work. It won't work on bluetooth either...

I ended up deleting the versa from my app, deleting the app, and reinstalling everything. Knock on wood since then I haven’t had any more issues.

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. @SayRed, I'm glad to know that after trying some troubleshooting steps you haven't experienced any more issues, thanks for letting us know.

@CalvinTaz and for those of you that are having trouble syncing your Versa after restarting it, I would like to suggest you to try the following steps (in case you've not tried them yet):

  • Make sure the latest version of the Fitbit app is installed on your phone.
  • The software on your mobile device is up to date. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around as they might interfere with the syncing process
  • Check that your Fitbit device's battery isn't critically low.

If your device still won't sync, try these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart your phone again.
  5. Open the Fitbit app.
  6. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart it one more time.
  7. If your Fitbit device won't sync after the restart, log in to your Fitbit account on a different phone, tablet, or computer and try to sync.
  8. If your Fitbit device still doesn’t sync, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your mobile device and try to sync.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

I too am frustrated with the battery issue. I have to charge mine almost everyday. I have a few apps installed, but Do Not use them!!! I use the very basic tracking this Fitbit can do. I have had to reset mine twice, reconnect to Bluetooth two or three times a week and only once in awhile do I get the notifications. For the price of this Fitbit, it seems the trouble is not worth it. BTW, I have an iPhone X. I have had issues the whole time I have had this Fitbit, and I got it as soon as it came out. I had no issues with previous versions, other than faulty. bands. I’m so tempted to just buy an Apple Watch. Fix the issues please or you certainly are looking at losing a very loyal customer.

I am having the same issue. My fit bit would no longer receive notifications so I did a reset and now it will not connect to my phones Bluetooth. I email and call for bit and I will not get any kind of response.

I have followed all the reset and restart options. My versa syncs when it wants to and in the 6 months I've had it it has recognized activity 6 times. I, like all of you, paid way to much to have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling the app. This is becoming more of a wast of money and has me thinking about getting a Garmin, like my sister, and giving up on Fitbit.😥

I have experienced the same problem. I am very unhappy as a result. I sincerely hope that a solution will be posted soon.

I am also having constant issues with connecting via bluetooth to the app. I have a Google phone, so that shouldn't be the issue. I have no issues with connecting with other bluetooth devices. This happens whether I leave bluetooth turned on or just try to sync daily with my Versa.

I did go swimming yesterday for the first time with my Versa, so I hope that's not what's causing my issue today.

Hi Fitbit moderators.
I have problems with restarting and paring fitbit to the phone.

What I did:
1. I am trying to restart Fitbit (already spent like 3 hours)
2. Then the lock screen appears in 5 or 10 secs and then I have message "load the fitbit app" which I did but then my phone even with bluetooth cannot find the Fitbit.

WHAT TO DO???!!!!

Tnx!
