SYNCING ISSUES --Android Supported Devices

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

To save yourself the headache here is a list of "supported" Android devices from Fitbit.  If you dont have one of these, dont get a FitBit because it may or may not work and if it doesnt they'll just tell you it isn't supported and you've blown your $$ on a useless tracker you can only sync to your laptop.

I'll also note that even if your device is on this list, it still may or may not sync to your phone.

It's on the Fitbit website help pages located here:

It's a shame there isn't a definitive list, and they say that even if your phone is on this list it still may or may not work...

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy J3 6(2016) which I am having issues with, I believe because it is an older OS version than 7.0(5.1). I can't update it any further due to the age of the device(Samsung have stopped support other than important security updates). All despite the fact it says "Samsung Galaxy J3" on the list.

I used to have a Huawei P20 Pro which I got the day it came out, which is on the list. I reckon that phone would have worked perfectly with fitbit. Sadly it died a death and I was told it would have cost more to repair than to just buy a new device, which I still can't afford to do...

I am however finding myself looking for a new to me handset with at least android 7.0, so not the latest and greatest by way of offering to trade my current J3 and a little cash just so I can get all of this to work. Even then it's not guaranteed.

Shame...
