Same run but getting different distances

I've seen this issue on the forms for other fitbit makes going back to 2018. I run the same route and everytime it gives me a different distance. Which then shows my pace as being different. Making it hard to tell if I'm improving or if I had a good run or not. 

Doesnt look like Fitbit are bothered about fixing this issue and just seem to ask the normal do this, do that and then we're looking into it. 

Looking into it since 2018 and still not fixed?

This has been an issue for a while. We got a few responses from the mods about this but they stay silent on this issue once they give the response of you turning your device on and off. Or make sure the clouds aren't in the sky or something.
