Why am I receiving invites from people who are "horny", "lonely", and want to be my friend? Even more importantly, how the hell do I stop them?

Block them and report them. In the app click the 3 dots in the upper corner and you will see how to do both

If you post a lot on the App forum you might want to cut back. I did and mine had slowed down considerably

Thank you, I'll block them, but I don't post anything. I've asked about my
phone stalling after the update and that's it.
