Sleep Stats on Versa

Hi all, I've been a Versa user for all of 24 hours and am generally pleased so far.  I'll be looking at the first BPM graph from today's workout when I get home this evening, so that might change!

Main question: I've got the OS 3.0 loaded (after a loooong Bluetooth download last night) but I can find nowhere on the watch to view sleep stats, despite this being an advertised feature of the latest OS.  There appears to be no option in either the 'Today' settings or the other apps that I access when swiping left.  Is there an easy answer to this?

Make sure that your tracker has synced after waking up.

Swipe up on the Versa and wait for today to to load.

Now swipe up till you get to the settings.

You should see:

Core Stats

Hourly Stats

Heart rate

Exercise

Cycle Track

Sleep

Water

Food

Weight

Badges

There is no setting for the today screen in the Fitbit app.

This settings menu is not complete until after a sync.

Hi, when you just updated, there are two solutions to get the Today's screen the way it's promised:

1. Go withing the Fitbit app to Apps and press my apps. Do you see a settings icon right next to it? if yes, press it and it will update the Today screen.

2. Put your Versa in the charger and connect it to your PC and leave it there for about at least two hours to give the Today screen the time to update to what's promised, e.g. seven trackable items.

Hope this helps, good luck!!

OK I am a senior and have a hard time learning some of this new stuff.

I went to settings and everything was there that you had listed. How do I see my sleep stats. I'm not sure what you mean when you say sync your versa.

I think that he means thay you have to sync your Versa with the Fitbit app in order to get the sleep on Today screen of your watch. The sleep is logged and shown in the Fitbit app only, untill you've synced the two.

Yep, all working now.  Daily sleep, logging of BPM graphs after workouts, playing music while working out - it's really doing its job now, and I'm very impressed.
One of the interesting discoveries for me is that I can work harder for longer on a stationary bike than I can on a rowing machine.  According to the BPM graphs, I can get my heart rate to 75%-85% of max quicker and maintain it there for longer on a bike doing intervals.  In terms of how it feels, an interval workout on the bike feels much the same as an interval workout on a Concept II, but the graphs are saying that the bike is more efficient and intense.  Is there any inaccuracy in a Fitbit recording BPM when your arm is moving in a rowing action rather than not moving on a bike?

What do I do if when I go to setting I only get 4 options ( core stats, hourly steps, heart rate and cycle track)

I forced a sync but it made no changes

when I go into apps the Today app doesn't have a setting symbol next to it so I can't make any changes?

Many thanks

I don’t understand how to set my Versa to show my steps for the day.

It shows them automatically. On the app, they will show in real time on your  dashboard, and if you tap the steps tile in the dashboard, it will show yesterday's steps and before.  As for the device it's self, It counts them in real time, but you can look at it at just before midnight to see how many steps you did. The tracker it's self doesn't keep records of steps, just in real time..  I just check my app on the phone for yesterday's stats.                                  Hope that helps.Smiley Happy

Hello, I have the Fitbit Versa and it has not been tracking my sleep. I have syned it, restarted it several times. Even when I swipe up to view my stats the cycle track, and the sleep one is not on the list at all. I logged on the computer and made sure the sleep app was there. Also my sleep is on sensitive. Please help. I have had it since 07/2018.

Hi, go to www.fitbit.com/dashboard on your computer and press the settings icon. Scroll down to Sleep sensitivity and ser it to "normal" ans press at the bottom of the page "submit". See if that works.

@SunsetRunner today's sleep should not show up on the Versa until after a sync or two of the Versa with the Fitbit server. For this to happen,  it is best for the user to let Fitbit decide when the user OS sleep and not manually log sleep on the dashboard. I'm not sure if a manual logged sleep will get transferred to the Versa, (a manual added exercise to the dashboard will not show up on the Versa).

When it comes to auto detecting of sleep stages,  Fitbit says the sleep setting does not matter,  however in the peat some users only saw sleep stages when sleep was set to sensitive.  My thought would be to try different settings,  but sleep should not show up on the Versa until after or shows up on the dashboard and sometimes a second sync will be needed.

This morning I synced before answering this post and it took 10 more minutes for the sleep data to get loaded onto the Versa.
