My sleep record daily shows me falling asleep consistently MUCH later than I actually feel that I am. So I really don't have much confidence in it and it is actually frustrating because I do have trouble sleeping .

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @21Flyr.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern regarding your Fitbit Versa tracking your sleep accurately. I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to help you. Autodetection is based on your movement. When you haven’t moved for about an hour, your device assumes that you’re asleep. I recommend doing the following:
1. Please confirm that your sleep setting is normal and not sensitive: What is the difference between the normal and sensitive sleep setting in the Fitbit app?
2. Restart your device by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
3. Try sleeping with the watch on your non-dominant hand if you haven't been doing it already
4. Confirm that the watch is snug on your wrist (the HR lights shouldn't be visible)
It is possible to correct the sleep record from your dashboard by following the steps from this help article: How do I change my sleep history?
You can find more information about tracking sleep here.
I'll be around if you need further assistance.
