Ever since the new app launched sleep tracking has not worked well. It tracks until one of my nightly wake up moments - usually around 3 AM - then just stops tracking, even though I go back to sleep for several hours. I’ve rebooted both phone and watch, pay careful attention to snugness of the band, and keep the contacts clean. Anyone else experiencing this?
Hi, yes my Versa 3 has no sleep score today. First time it’s happened - watch battery fine, reset the watch, turned Bluetooth off and on again and closed and reopened the app - to no avail sadly. Hoping it will work overnight tonight.
My Versa 4 is doing the same thing. I’ve had it only since September. It was recording throughout the night, but then started data gaps about every night. 1-3 hours of missing sleep and heart data, from some time around 3-6am. These gaps affect all the stats. I’ve restarted, adjusted the band to looser or tighter, changed to a more flexible band, and changed clock faces. I didn’t have this issue with previous Fitbit devices.
Replying to all those who mentioned a similar problem with the sleep tracker. I spoke with the Fitbit help folks yesterday. They did acknowledge - when I asked - that they've been fixing a lot of bugs since the new app was launched. I was walked through the process to do a factory reset AFTER turning off the heart monitor, and them turning that back on after the reset. I also rebooted my phone for good measure. Unfortunately this did not solve my problem so I'll have another chat today. But perhaps this will work for others! Good luck!
I doubt anything will work. That update has been nothing but trouble and Fitbit is determined to lose customers because it refuses to go back to a reliable and working system. Development has reversed at Fitbit apparently.
Exactly the same for me too. Three nights of recording all data. So glad to see it working again! Fingers crossed that it continues.
Best AnswerI’m still having intermittent issues. A complete night, then a night or 2 with gaps. I called tech support 2 days ago and was walked through the steps of restart, reset, reload etc and still had gaps of early morning hours that night and the next. (And on 2 of my last 3 runs, heart rate tracking stopped, so very low zone minutes, and the device exited the run tracking.)
So I was surprised that last night I had full heart rate and sleep tracking.
I managed four nights then it went again unfortunately. But like you last night I got a full night of data again! Out of the blue. I was wondering today if if was a bandwidth issue! Too many people needing downloaded data or synced data at the same time, maybe it’s restricting who gets it when!!!!
Best AnswerAgree. I’m wondering how long I give it as a fair chance to fix the issue. My hopes are raised every time it works. But disappointment soon follows. I just want what I had back. I liked everything as it was before. It worked 100 percent. If that’s gone for good then unfortunately I’m probably going to have to switch too ….. unless there’s a statement from Google/Fitbit with some acknowledgment and timelines. Let’s see. Positive thoughts that everything will work soon.
I have the same problem with sleep stages with my second versa three unit should have been updated to the latest but unfortunately it’s not doing its job. My wife has a smart watch by Apple and she does not have any type of problems like this let’s get this fitbit problem fixed once, and for all.
