Hey guys
I had heaps problems with Versa 2 but have done somethint different and looks like the problems all gone (touch wood). I bought versa 2 on Friday.
1. Battery drain
My fitbit was dying so fast, losing about 20% during sleep. I couldn't figure out why until I realised my fitbit was connected to Bluetooth the entire time. What I didnt realise is that I don't actually need to be connected via Bluetooth except if you want to control music but you can control music via Spotify. This may not apply to those who doesn't have Spotify premium. Since I turned it off my battery has decreased like 2% during the course of 6 hours. You don't need Bluetooth to sync as well.
2. Ridiculous steps
This is crazy I can't believe fitbit is doing this for something that's almost $400aud. First night I woke up with 200 steps and second night 80 steps. First day I "walked" 17k steps (no way I have done that) and second day I "walked" 8000k. Very very far off my actual steps. What I did to sort of fix this is that change it the setting to dominant hand. This will decrease the sensitivity and today my steps look a lot better. We gotta also set the expectation that a machine like this wil never track your steps accurately but it shouldn't be too much off.
3. Sleep score
A lot of you especially first time users are saying it's not providing you a score after your sleep. This usually happens first 1 or 2 nights then it should start register.
4. Huawei phone users
Those of you who can't seem to get phone call and sms alerts. This may be due to Huawei's aggressive battery saving setting (this is one of their features hence most Huawei phones can last very long during the day). What you need to do is go into settings, battery, app launch. Find fitbit app and let it run manually instead of system auto.
5. Always on display and auto motion
I turned these off because my battery was dying so fast but now that I've figured out it's due to Bluetooth connectivity I'm gonna switch these on to give it a go. Will report back
