So far all mine has said is recording SpO2. It hasn’t shown an actual result. Is it working for anyone?

Same thing for me too. I'm not sure why this feature feature would be so difficult to display almost instantly anyway, it should ideally show in the today app. And just by looking at the graph I can fairy accurately work out what the average will be. So why should it take a smartphone app and a computer on your wrist an hour to fetch the calculations is beyond me,

UPDATE: I did get a percent one morning. Now last night’s sleep was broken in chunks. I read in FitBit help it has to be a continuous “quality” sleep for a minimum of 3 hours.
SPO2 Clock Face help article
Have been with FitBit over ten years. Sometimes cool new things have needed a bit of sorting after roll out 😊
Perhaps a FitBit representative will address this for us before long.

I contacted support and they recommended that I remove the watch face and then re-add it. I did that and I have had successful readings the past 2 nights.

Edit: added 5th night
I’ve had the clock face on my Ionic for 5 nights. SpO2 worked on nights 2-3, but not 1, 4-5. Night 1 was my longest and least interrupted. Night 2 had a large interrupted part. Nights 3-4 were not interrupted, and night 5 only had an interruption at the very beginning and end. This doesn’t seem consistent. The EOV worked all 5 nights, as it usually does.
It’s unusual that this feature is rolling out on a clock face instead of in the app (or both). I would expect it to be in the today screen of the device, unless it was a continuous reading like heartbeat. I’m wondering why it’s not on demand or continuous too. Add that to the fact that it must not have been well tested to roll out this poorly.

That sounds great! Now I just have to find out how to remove that app.
------------------------
Okay, I went to the app and threw the watch face out, made sure it was gone from my watch, then down loaded it again. So, TONITE will be the test. If it is working in the morning I will have joy if not, I am just going back to my old watch face and forget this one till some more bugs are worked out or I get smarter...

I did that, and it's still not working two days of no oxygen variation in the app. I got readings for two days, then it stopped. I've reset the watch, I've deleted and re-added the clock face, and I've even taken the watch out of the app and re-added it. This is very frustrating.
EDIT: I just rebooted my phone, and oxygen variation for the last two days is now showing up. The watch still says it couldn't read SpO2.

Turns out it failed to give me an SpO2 reading the following two nights and I don't see anything markedly different in my sleep pattern vs. the one night it worked. I've decided to abandon this for a while and let Fitbit work it out. Candidly it feels like Fitbit rushed this out to beat Apple's Watch 6 announcement last week.

I have been fighting with this new face for days. In four nights I only got one SPO2 reading and it was 98%, so it has nothing to do with a low reading. My new phone is not seeing the Versa on Bluetooth, supposedly, yet all my notifications are coming through to the versa. The app is working fine and has recorded everything BUT the SPO2. I'm giving up for now. Hope they fix this soon as I thought it was a great idea.

Bailin and clammily: I am with you folks, like I said before I will give it one more chance tonite. If no joy then it's back to my old watch face. I am convinced that it is a problem with the app and a rush to get it out to us. It is not a problem with my fitbit. Maybe in a few months the problems will be fixed and I will welcome the clock face back.

Found out more info in a reply to this post -
There will be a Health Metrics Dashboard in app coming soon and will be part of the Premium subscription. A 90 day free trial link is in the article.. This certainly looks like an exciting new feature, timely and useful as well. Click on the link above, there is a very thorough description.

First, OldTexan, I should comment that I am an old Texas Expat.....just saying.
Hmmm....maybe the trick is we have to not only have the app running, but have to remember to breathe? 🤗

I have a regular Versa and mine worked for a couple days and now it doesn't work it says recording SPO2 but nothing no percentage. Also, I looked in my sleep data and nothing is showing there either 😒 hopefully Fitbit comes out with a fix soon.

What, and use up perfectly good air when we are not awake to enjoy it? Seems like a good waist of oxygen.
I am sitting here for the last half hour looking at “Recording Sp02”, oh wait, it just changed to “Couldn’t read Sp02”..
I give up.

It’s been 7 nights now and it only gave me a reading one night. I know the new Apple Watch 6 will give you a readout any time you want by just holding your wrist steady for 15 seconds. None of this once a day if you sleep 3 uninterrupted hours nonsense.

After re-installing the clockface, I had readings for 3 nights in a row... But this morning I am getting a "sleep to update" error on the clockface.
And I finally had a pretty good night's sleep last night too 🙄🙄🙄!
