I've had my fitbit versa special edition for 2 weeks. The band (purple) is already fraying and started the first week I got it. Curious if this is happening already to anyone else? Smiley Sad

My purple band frays, too. I wear it during the day and to sleep, never in the shower, pool, etc.

I bought the special edition Versa because...it was special. If I can’t sleep in the cloth band, that’s just simply ridiculous. The fraying shouldn’t be happening.

i bought my daughter the Versa and her arm has large red welts on it from the silicone band.

And, neither work with our iPhones for messaging. Very expensive investment for two devices that are not delivering.

Options?

It’s not meant for sleeping. Or breathing. It’s apparently just meant for looking.*rolls eyes*

I've been a long time Fitbit user ever since their first product, the Ultra and in the many times I've had to engage with support, I found the competence to vary widely.  What has worked for me in the past with unresolved issues (Comcast for example), is to send a certified, signature required, letter to the company corporate office, stating the issue, and the lack of resolve stated in a professional manner.  At the very least you should at least then be contacted by an upper level more knowledgeable support personnel.

Hi everyone. Sorry to hear about your issues with wristbands. Please follow the wear and care tips for the band that you are wearing. If you have any issues with your band then please let our Support team know about it so they can further assist you as they will follow the Fitbit's warranty.

Let me know how it goes!

myself specifically. My band started fraying within 3 days.

There's nothing that "wear and care" tips could have prevented because nothing was mishandled on my part. I literally had the band 3 days, didn't work out with it on or anything.

There is NO reason why that should be acceptable & if this many people are having issues with it then why wouldn't you make a replacement part separately because this had to have come up in testing.
