Stats using exercise shortcut wrong

I just got my Versa 2 last week. I use TM for exercise. I was recording it using "walk" under shortcuts, but today I used the "Treadmill" shortcut option. I was on the TM for 55 minutes today, keeping my HR at about 128bpm. So roughly I went 3 ish miles. My Versa 2 says I worked out for 14 minutes, 1436 steps, 130 calories and .52 miles. How can I fix this?

If you used the treadmill mode, then Fitbit can not measure the distance. Fitbit will look at the step count and the users stride setting to take an educated guess at the distance..

When it comes to the recorded time, is it the start or stop time that is off?

Did you start and stop the recording at the proper times?

Did the tracker get put into pause at any point?

Thank you @Clevelynne

Yes, your answer helps. The next time I went on TM I used "walk" under exercise.  It did measure the time correctly, but I did 2 miles according to TM and my Fitbit registered it as 1.3 miles.  I guess I won't worry about it. Thank you!
