Step accuracy

I've had the Versa 2 for a couple of months now, and the accuracy of the step tracker baffles me. Getting up from bed, getting dressed, and out the door can be over far over 100 steps. I have to admit I'm too sleepy to count the number of steps I'm taking, but it feels far less than that. My job is at a grocery store, so lot of physical work, and the Versa seem to add a few steps there too. However, it seems fairly accurate when I take 100 steps in my apartment. There's a few extra, but less than ten.

Watch is set to be worn on my non-dominant hand, but I'm thinking maybe it should be set to be on the dominant just to make it less sensitive. Any tips to make it track more accurate in the daily life? Walking with my arms down isn't really an option here.

Unless you live in a cracker box, getting more than 100 steps before taking off for work is pretty easy.

It is 23 steps from my bed to the bathroom sink (heck, it's six steps from my bed to my bedroom door) and my Versa 2 tracks the round trip accurately:

I've always said that you should perform at least some testing before critiquing.

And wearing the device on your non-dominant wrist is meant to minimize false steps as you use that arm less. It's been 50 years since my "Curtesy Clerk" days, but placing it on your dominant wrist will increase false steps from stocking shelves, "boxing" groceries and such. Even "desk jockeys" find that to be true.

Good luck and welcome to the boards.
