Steps per hour not syncing

Versa says I got the hour. Even went over steps and did manual sync before hour was up. Fitbit app won’t acknowledge it if it happens in the last 10 min. What the heck? Is Versa not communicating in time? Stupid that it doesn’t auto sync since I have turned on that feature. I have to open the app to get it to sync.

It's great to see you around @Kidperson30.

It's weird to hear that your tracker isn't transferring your steps per hour. If the issue is directly with syncing, I recommend following the instructions provided in the help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync?.

I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. Robot Happy

Hi, My ChargeHR is synching fine, but my dashboard hasn't picked up the 11am hour for 250 steps - it's correct on my device (says 7 of 14) at 1:27).  How can I get my dashboard to recognize the missing hour?

Best Answer

I gave up on my hours active showing up on my Fitbit dashboard...if it’s not in WiFi, sometimes the hours don’t sync. I am just glad it shows up on my watch/device.

I have the exact same issue.

My Charge2 correctly shows the hours (I even got the fancy „Boom - 9/9 hours“ message on my device‘s screen) - but when I sync to my iPhone, hours are omitted in a totally random pattern (sometimes 2pm is missing, sometimes 10am,...)

Why is this topic even marked as solved?

Best Answer

I know fir me I have accepted that it doesn’t always sync correctly with Fitbit app. So as long as my tracker says I’ve done it, I’m satisfied.

The Fitbit app on my phone suddenly stopped tracking this about a week ago it seems. It syncs all the other data from my Versa, but not the steps per hour.

Hey @SunsetRunner, @amylynne1978 welcome to the Community and @Lenlau it's great to see you around.

It's weird to hear that your Fitbit app isn't showing your steps per hour. Could you please provide me with a screenshot of this? Are you able to see this information from your fitbit.com Dashboard? Have you tried to log out and log back in?

Hope to hear from you soon. Robot Happy

It randomly picked up tracking again the following day. I don’t know why. I did restart my tracker several times, and reinstalled the app fresh. But it does seem to work now.

This was the week it didn’t work, though. It abruptly started working again in the evening of 2/15. I do wear my Versa all day, I only take it off when Ishower and go to bed.

Same with mine. Stopped working completely on 2/22/19-2/23/19.  Then started working the next day until today. Today wasn't working until 2:00 pm. I started restarted all the things you woul expect. What is going on FitBit?

Same with my Versa. It stopped showing the 250 steps per hour even though I got the steps in. I tried logging off and logging back on as well as removing the app and reinstalling on my phone. Worked fine up until this morning.

Not fixed yet.  Much too frequently Versa say 1-3 more hours completed than the Dashboard or IOS app.  Everything else syncs.  I track 14 every day.  2 to 3 times a week the Versa shows more hours than the app.  I have pictures of the Versa and screen shot of the app for today.  I'm not sure how to post those in this forum.
