Strava app authorized

Hello,

my Fitbit app says my Strava authorization state is authorized, but whenever I click the app on my watch it tells me to link account. I tried restarting the Fitbit. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling and reauthorizing and still doesn’t work. Very frustrated at this point.

I think we might be looking at two different things here.

The Strava Authorization through the fitbit app is for Strava to receive your fitbit data.

The Strava app on the Versa is a remote view of your Strava dashboard and requires the user to log into their Strava account.

Let's open the fitbit app, tap Account, Versa, Apps, find the Strava in the list of installed apps. Now tap the settings cog on the right. Here you will be able to log into your Strava Account.

Hi Rich,

The Fitbit restarted again after I chose a new clock face and now the app works!

Thanks.

I'm having the same problem. The Versa 2 is added in my Strava app, and the FitBit Strava link is authorised, but when I select the Strava app on the Versa I still get the request to link the account. I've restarted a few times with the same result. Any suggestions?

As mentioned above @IanAU the Strava app has nothing to do with the Strava / Fitbit link.

Open the fitbit app, tap the top right corner to go to your Account. Now tap the Versa 2, and then apps. Locate Strava and tap the settings gear. Now you need to log into your Strava Account

Thanks for the reply. I've done what you suggest - it says "authorised". No change when selecting the app from the Versa though.

It finally started working. It seemed to be after I managed to get the device to connect to wifi, which was also something that was giving me trouble.

I am having the same issue. I have downloaded strava my Versa lite. Authorization state = authorized. I have also linked these in strava too. but i am still instructed to link account in the mobile app???

In what mobile app are you being asked to link the accounts @Mrlee76? Linking through Strava connects the Strava and Fitbit accounts.

The Strava app on the tracker has nothing to do with this link.

What is the issue that your having?

I bought my Fitbit Versa 2, 3 days ago and am having the same problem with Strava. Shiws “authorised” on the Fitbit app section, and showing as a linked device and sync automatically on my Strava app.  I have deleted and re linked Strave, turned off my phone and the Fitbit.

Not impressed as I bought the Fitbit to specifically use with the Strava app 😡

@Julie-F. only this section of your post we want to look at.

"I bought my Fitbit Versa 2, 3 days ago and am having the same problem with Strava. Shiws “authorised” on the Fitbit app section"

The rest of your post has nothing to do with the Strava dashboard on the Versa.

After you log into your Strava account, you should see authorized in the Versa / App / Strava

To get this login data into the Versa one needs to force a sync of the tracker.

Thank you. I had done all that. It still hasn’t been working, showing “connecting” but doesn’t. I’ve just found another setting and touch wood it will work tomorrow 😀

Thanks once again
