Just purchased the Versa today. Went swimming this AM. It records laps swam and calories burned but does not show my heart-rate. It is important that I know the strain on my heart because I have congestive heart failure. How can it calculate calories burned without a heart rate? Am I missing a setting?

Hi @Anointedrj if you used the Swim exercise shortcut to start and stop the swim then you will not get a heart rate graph. This is because the heart rate monitor uses light to measure your heart rate and light travels differently through water so HR measurements made are not reliable or correct, so the fotbit will turn off the HR. If you let the tracker auto detect the swim then you will get a HR graph, but it will NOT be accurate. If I use manual detect for a swim the graph I get is WAY higher than it should be (I know I am not working anywhere near as hard as it tells me)

@Anointedrj can you please attach some screenshots? Also are the sensor lights blinking? Please open Settings app on your Versa, scroll down to heartrate and toggle OFF/ON. Also, pls reboot your tracker by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo appears.
ETA: Yes, it needs HR to properly calculate calories burned.
