Sync/Bluetooth issues

The last few days I have noticed the time listed on my Versa was about 10 minutes off (slower). I have been trying to sync both from my Fitbit app and my iPhone as well as opening the app on my desktop and laptop computers to try and sync that way. However, the connection is fine while I am doing the sync but then it disconnects when the sync has been completed. When I try to search using Bluetooth from my phone, it spins and then says no device found. Sometimes it says "Connection Unsuccessful-Make sure Versa is turned on and in range". The watch is on and laying next to the phone.  I have searched for and found some tips which I have repeatedly tried:

  • Make sure the latest version of the Fitbit app is installed on your phone.
  • The software on your mobile device is up to date. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around as they might interfere with the syncing process
  • Check that your Fitbit device's battery isn't critically low.

If your device still won't sync, try these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart your phone again.
  5. Open the Fitbit app.
  6. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart it one more time.
  7. If your Fitbit device won't sync after the restart, log in to your Fitbit account on a different phone, tablet, or computer and try to sync.
  8. If your Fitbit device still doesn’t sync, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your mobile device and try to sync.

However, I am STILL unable to connect my watch! Also, there seems to be a delay with the incoming calls showing up on my watch and when I am on a live call, I get the "Active call" notification several times throughout the call as opposed to getting it once on all previous days of ownership. If I try to swipe the "Active call" notification on my watch, it drops the call. Once I receive a text message, there seems to be a delay from the time I get it on my phone to when it gets to my watch.

I was very disappointed with Fitbit releasing a new Versa about 2.5 months after I broke down and bought this one and I sincerely hope this issue is not the beginning of many other issues in an attempt to force purchases of the newer version. I have loved my watch since I bought it with the exception of a few previous issues. However now that I have an iPhone, the Apple watches are starting top look like a much better option.

PLEASE Help!

Perhaps you already tried this, but since you have multiple devices from which to sync, sometimes it helps to temporarily turn off bluetooth on all but the one you want to sync from.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
