Dear All,
Due the amount of topics/messages I see here regarding the sync issues with the fitbit equipments, I must say that I am very disapointed with the brand. Im facing of course, the same issues, I cant have my Versa sync with my phone and I have done ALL the verifications mentioned on this forum (please dont reply to this post with "follow the post below", because Ive done everything). That red message "Service notification service not running" keeps appearing on my device and I need to do all the steps from the begining. The message disapears and one hour later, there it is again. Clearly we are talking about a series problem, no doubt of that, and to be honest my feedback is not positive. My question to you is: Is Fitbit doing anything to correct this once for all? If not, can I return mine and receive my money back?
I really apreciatte any reply on this. Im tired of turn off, turn on, check permissions, check notifications, check this check that, restart the devices, fix my settings again and again and again... and this several times per day, which is not acceptable.
Anyone can tell me if Its only Versa that has this problem? Or is the same with the others Fitbit models?
Thank You!

@Catarina123 It's not the watch, it's your phone OS. "Service notification service not running" - this happens when the service is being killed by your phone OS. Phones made by Huawei and OnePlus are particurarly known for very aggressive power management, i.e. killing off any proceses running in the background. Please make sure that Fitbit mobile app is not being optimized in the Android Settings on your phone and that you have All-day sync and Always connected enabled in your Fitbit mobile app. You can also try pinning the Fitbit app to lock it in the background. Please google how to do that on your phone. You're not sharing a phone model or OS.

@Marrrmaduke Thank You for the feedback. My phone is in fact a Huawei P10 (version 8.0.0).
The only issue i see here is that I dont have the "All day sync" option in my phone app.
Only appears "SYnc now". Could this be the problem? How can I fix it? ive already unistalled the app and installed again and the situation is the same.
Thanks again.

@Catarina123 The recent fitbit mobile app update removed All-day sync option - i.e. it's now ON always so no need for the button. I can confirm that yes, it's Huawei related. Have you tried installing this app from the Google Play store? I am not in any way affiliated with the dveloper, but what this app does is basically re-enables the killed processes immediately so you do not lose the functionality. You need to choose permanent fix option. Good luck!

Will I have the same problems with Versa 2?
Thanks again!

@Catarina123 Yes, as this is phone OS issue and not fitbit. Unfortunately. I know some Huawei users were able to make their devices work with fitbit. Please search the forum for more info. Sorry I could not be more helpful. 😞
