Sync issues - steps not matching

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit Versa 3 has been not connecting and syncing like usual. Today it took multiple restarts of the app and Versa itself to get it to connect. Also, my steps have been off by 50 steps or more for the past few days - currently my Versa is at 4981 steps and the app reads 5008 steps. What is going on lately? Have there been other reported glitches?

@MAEMomma , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message and efforts.

Regarding the synchronization: If you haven't done so yet, please have a look at this: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

To the steps count :
Please on the Fitbit App tap on your devices icon (upper left corner) You should see only the Versa 3 listed there.
If you see the Smartphone option listed, it means that you have Mobiletrack active.

MobileTrack uses the phone's sensors to count steps. This is for when you have left your Fitbit at home (e.g. while charging). Please make sure MobileTrack is not activated.
It may happen that the steps recorded with the cell phone overwrite those from your Versa 3.

In the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon (top left corner). There you will see the devices linked to your account. If you see the Mobile Device  Active(Smartphone)  option, tap it and remove it from the account.
