Can you please tell me why I keep setting my versa to cue me every mile and it continues to cue me every half mile and it does not come through my headphones, my watch just buzzes. I also have my gps set to use location while using the app and I just went for a run and it did not load my map so it’s not accurate. Also, I don’t know how to turn it back on the auto stop when I quit running. I have messed and messed with it and I’m getting really frustrated. My versa is only a few months old and it’s never been right.

@311mama Welcome! It's great to see you around!

Let me help you with your Versa mile cues and the connection issues. Your device uses the number of steps and stride length to calculate the distance. You can improve the accuracy by measuring and logging your stride length. Feel free to use these instructions to do this. This should help with the voice cues.

Regarding the connection with your headphones, try refreshing the bluetooth link by doing the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Finally for GPS try these suggestions to improve the signal reception.

Let me know how it goes.

The voice cues are set up and they do not alert me every mile, but every half mile even though I’ve changed it. Her voice does not come through my headphones. I still don’t know how to set up auto stop back to “on”. The only way I get an actual map of my route is when I’m connected to wifi BEFORE I leave my house. So if I run from a different starting point, I don’t get an accurate map and mileage. I do t understand why I need to be on WiFi when my phone has gps and is connected. So basically none of my questions have been resolved.
