Syncing difficulty when away from WiFi

When will you fix the syncing steps issue with the versa watch and app?  It works okay when near home wifi but terrible when outside and away from wifi.  Doesn't sync together or takes forever.  Tried everything including reinstalling app.  Please fix.  Thank you.

Hi @GBpack2000, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the difficulty you're experiencing with syncing your Fitbit Versa when you're outside and away from Wi-Fi. Thank you for your efforts to resolve this. Syncing difficulty is usually caused by a missing requirement and I recommend following the complete troubleshooting steps from this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?  Do you have any other tracker paired to your Fitbit account? If you're not using it, I recommend removing it from your account to improve syncing.

I'll be around if you need further help!

No solution yet.  This is a software issue.  Not a user issue.

Hi @GBpack2000, thank you for your reply. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate the additional information and recommend doing the following:

  1. Go into the phone settings and select "Apps".

  2. Find and select Fitbit.

  3. Tap "Advanced" and then tap "Battery".

  4. Select "Battery Optimization".

  5. Tap the bar at the top of the screen and select "All Apps".

  6. Find Fitbit in the list, tap it and select "Don't Optimize".

This should help improve your syncing experience and should not have a large impact on your phone's battery life.

Let me know how it goes.
