Taking steps away

I had over 80K steps yesterday and this morning I only had 78K.  It is set up to reset on Sunday, this happened from Friday to Saturday.  Why is it taking away steps?  Not using any other trackers.

I assume we are talking about the step total as shown on the friends tile. If so, this tile shows the steps taken so far today plus the steps for the previous 6 days. Once you have logged at least a week of data the total will always go down at midnight as it deletes the oldest day's data to make room for the new day.

 

Would this account for what you are seeing?
