Text notifications feature not working

Day one with the Versa. Love the design and functionality. Everything seems to be working fine, except text notifications from my iPhone X. The Versa receives other notifications such as calls, and from Apps such as Sky News so the Versa can obviously ‘see’ the Versa and notifications must be switched on (text notifications are definitely switched on), but text messages aren’t coming through. Anyone else experience this and have any thoughts on a solution?

That was my issue.  Versa worked with Android messages for a day and then stopped.  Holding the power button showed the Screen Wake and Notifications settings and notifications was turned off.  I think this happened when I was trying to swap watch bands and struggled to get the stupid band to stay in (crazy small pins with tight clearances).  I know the screen was getting clicked a bunch and I probably turned it off by accident.  Next time I'll power off the watch before attempting to change bands, LOL.

Is the no text notifications issue still an ongoing problem?  I’ve tried all recommended things and no text alerts to my iPhone 7s

Where is the ‘show history’ option to turn it on?

Holding the power button showed that Notifications was off, turning on worked for me.

Yes it is still an ongoing issue.  Fitbit customer service agents have concluded that there is an issue between FitBit and Apple at this time.  They say I just have to wait for Apple to send a new software update to fix it, but no ETA.

I just spoke to a Fitbit C/S supervisor and he said he's sorry, he cannot refund my purchase price because I purchased from another retailer.  This is really poor customer relations in this day and age, and I think the FitBit community should be aware of it.

I'll go ahead and take it back to the retailer, get a refund and purchase an Apple Watch.  You should too!

How do you get the text messages from your iPhone X to show up on your Fitbit Versa?

Hello,

to enable sms notifications on iphone, you must go to settings on iphone  - notifications center - messages and activate all categories: lock screen, notification center and banners. It worked for me.

It’s happening again after FitBit helped me fix it! iPhone 7 Plus. Wow,

I’m having the same issue with my iPhone X & ive seem that several people mention that “Show in History” needs to be turned on. I’ve looked in notification settings for text & Fitbit, but I don’t see this option. Can you tell me where to find it? Thanks so much!

For me, I went to iPhone > Settings > Notifications > Messages, didn’t see “Show In history...” but I did check “Notification center” under the “Alerts” section, and now mine works.

Thanks for pointing out looking in this area! After a month I can finally see texts 🎉🎉🎉

I known I’m super late, but this had been driving me insane and I finally remembered to look into it today. I came across this thread and figured out what needed to be changed. It’s working now. I had to go to the Settings app on my phone, choose Messages, then under Alerts, I have all 3 selected. Prior to this morning, I’d left Notification Center  unchecked and never received my texts via my Versa. I believe all 3 may need to be selected so you receive notifications at all times.
