Text notifications not consistent-Versa

Help... my Versa is not consistent in delivering my text messages. I never had this problem with my Charge 2. I’m connected, synced, rebooted both the Versa and my iPhone 8, Bluetooth is good, and I receive all other notifications. This is making me mental. Help.

Hello @HMP1975, good to see you here in the Fitbit Community! I was reading your text notifications are not consistent. You did in rebooting your Versa and iPhone and reviewing the bluetooth is connected.

 

In this case you can give it a try to this troubleshooting steps: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone. This will cover all notifications in general.

After communicating with FitBit tech support, I was told that the Versa’s notifications had some sort of glitch that was being worked on by the appropriate team. I have to reboot and discount from Bluetooth, daily, to receive text and incoming call notifications. Some days, I will get notifications from one person, but nothing from another person. TBH, I’m extremely frustrated with my new Versa regarding this issue. I never once had this problem with my Charge 2.

I received the Fitbit versa yesterday for Christmas.  It will receive text notifications occasionally,  but not consistently,  and none from my husband which are the most important to me.....heavy sigh.  Is that team of people still working on the issue?

Hey there!

This is a huge problem for me and has been since I purchased for Mother’s Day. Unfortunately, I just learned to deal with it for all these months. Daily I would have to reboot and shut down my Versa so that it would sync from the actual tracker to my phone. It would randomly, and I mean randomly I would receive notifications on my Versa. I contacted Fitbit and they let me know that there is/was a problem, but it was never resolved... so, I bought an Apple Watch and it’s been amazing. No problems with connectivity or syncing on the watch. I am just sad that I will be unable to compete in walking challenges with my other Fitbit friends. 

 

So, in conclusion, take your Fitbit Versa back- save your money or get an Apple Watch.
