The 3 stations you get for Pandora offline listening

Does anyone know how your top 3 stations from Pandora are determined to be used on the fitbit Versa or Ionic? All of the answers and materials out there say it is your top 3 most listened to. But I want to confirm this, and I also want to see how it determines your top 3 most listened to. Is it of all time, or possibly most listened to in the last few months?

I know there has been enough complaining about this setup but, to pile on, it seems like even a small change would make a huge difference. If it really is looking for your top 3 listened to stations of all time, what if your interests change. It could take years to make the new interests your most listened to? Just using your last 3 listened to stations would be a perfect change. or even, as I have inquired on above, it it is the top 3 listened to in the last month(ish)

I wanted to reply to this with an update as I was able to contact Pandora about this. The stations that it chooses are your 3 most listened to stations. You can find these and cross reference them by signing into Pandora, looking at "My collection" Choosing "Playlists" and then sorting by most listened to. After keeping an eye on this for a while it does look like your history of hours that you have listened to in a station goes away/expires at some point. This means that if you listened to one station for 1000 hours because you were really into it at one point, but now you like other music, you are not completely out of luck in having that one station stuck in your Fitbit for years. It will eventually revert to 0 hours once all of that history expires. As for the details of that expiration (How long it takes for an hour in your history to expire) I cannot provide any information.

That all being said, I believe Fitbit and Pandora need to work together to allow users to chose their stations manually. This would be a HUGE improvement and solve many problems. There is already a feature suggestion article around this. I have voted for it, and encourage others to do the same.

@Bagrzeg Welcome to the Community. Sorry for the delayed reply.

I'll be happy to clarify your inquiry. Fitbit will choose 3 popular stations on Pandora. However these stations are chosen by Pandora, you may want to contact them to ask for further information regarding this.

Don't hesitate to get back and share the information if you find it 😀

@Bagrzeg Thank you for taking the time to share the information you found out when contacting Pandora, I'm sure it will help other users on the forums.

Also, I appreciate that you voted for this idea Pandora - choose stations to add to Ionic as you can see it has been categorized to Under Consideration.

Have a nice day.
