The battery of my Versa is lasting less than 2 days

I've been having alot of issues with my Versa. One of which is battery life of only 27 hours. I was told to charge phone and record syncs, still charge lasted only 27 hours. NOW Support says to charge for at least 2 hours even if watch reads 100%. Hopefully this info is helpful to someone.

So basically turn off all the functions you bought it for in the first place....

So I’ve now got my replacement.....brand new Versa not a reconditioned one. Battery is lasting 4-5 days. The test will be when swimming with it next week.

I now take it off now whilst showering as steam may cause malfunction and I’m convinced the pool chemicals in uk caused my old Versa to basically die. Will update.

I too have my replacement and so far so good.  How do you tell whether it's new or reconditioned?  I would think they need to let you know if it is reconditioned and I'm assuming it's new.  I haven't used the "hike" exercise feature yet, but battery is holding up 4-5 days.  Time will tell!

Hey I seem to be having an issue with battery life and reading through I’m wondering if it isn’t just “faulty” Versa battery or if over time the battery stops holding charge. I’m <1yr in and I’ve seen a drastic decline in battery life. In this most recent test, I’ve lost 50% battery life in 24 hours and haven’t been using any features. I used to be impressed by its ability to hold charge and now I’m always caught off guard when it needs one. It kind of just seems like a poor quality product beyond a few months - replacements and/or not using features you bought should not be “the solution” to extending battery life.

I have 7 messages from various moderators about posts they removed from the forum but when I try to open them they do not open roflmao!

Fair Warning to all don't say anything bad about your terrible waste of money on Fitbit products. Your post will be deleted by the moderators!

Make sure they are glowing reviews of their crummy product!

Definitely or you will have it on the charger more than on your wrist!

@SunsetRunner @Which app version do you have? I think the latest app v3.3.1 has fixed the battery drain issue

I have the latest app version so don’t think that’s doing the trick but thanks for the thought

No problem.  Do you have the new or old dashboard?  Not sure if it matters but I have the old one.

How did you get your battery life to last so long? Mine lasts lies than 30 hours.

These battery issues are pervasive.  My versa held a 4-5 day battery life for the first 9 months of using it. I LOVED my versa. Then it suddenly stopped holding a charge for longer than a day. I can't rely on it as an alarm  any longer. It dies in the middle of the night. The battery life was the sole reason I purchased a versa over other brands. What's the purpose in turning off all that is recommended by customer support? Isn't that why we have smart watches? To have these options? If you turn them all off its just a digital watch then.

That's a darn good question!!!

I agree, paying almost $200 and having to shut down all the buttons just to save power is an ad deception.  Bought mine 14 days ago because my Charge had to be recharged everyday, so I paid all this money for basically the same thing.  I may return it and continue using the Charge.

I see I’m not the only person who has problems with the Versa battery life. I am on a second one (replaced by Fitbit) and it don’t last a day. I have NO features on which is an oxymoron.... why have it.... not even using my morning alarm and the new one didn’t last a day . Im  discussed  probably not going to buy another fitbit product. I have owned them since 2015 but I’m ready for it to be right

My battery drains overnight every night since the latest software update.

Yes it was about that time when my old one started that too then they replaced it and the new one does the same thing
It’s frustrating! I’ve had a Fitbit for 5 years walked almost 6k miles and really wish they’d fix this problem!

I am not about to do the software update. The last time it one, my Versa locked up. Since I’ve gotten my replacement, I can go Sunday evening to Saturday afternoon without charging.

I put my bright on medium, turned off all day sync, turned off weather, and turned off notifications.  Now I get 3 days, still just a digital watch that counts steps and pulse.  Waste of money.

I have been a loyal Fitbit customer since the beginning and have purchased probably half a dozen for myself or as gifts but I am also having the problem that my Versa battery all of a sudden drains within a few hours even after having charged all night (which means no sleep feature tracking available) and seriously, Fitbit’s response is basically don’t use any of the features and see it that makes it work better???? I don’t even have notifications on, don’t listen to music on it and don’t use all day sync - what is left to use besides the bare minimum- the advice is don’t have the watch wake up and don’t sync it regularly or check your stats or have it remind you to move - what’s the point of wearing it then?.... I mean SERIOUSLY?!?! Why advertise the features if the watch won’t function if they are used??? The customer service has gone significantly downhill .... it may be time to try out the competition...
