Tilt to wake angle

I just got a Versa 3.

I find that tilt to wake doesn't work a lot of the time, especially if I'm lying down.

I realized it doesn't work if the right side is lower than the left side. Raising my hand before tilting my wrist makes it work every time.

Quite unnatural.

I guess they do this for battery life, but I'd love an option to wake up if I tilt it no matter what level it started from.

I find the fore arm needs to be within 30° of horizontal and the wrist needs to rotate 90 degrees.

I do agree, when laying in bed, it is not always easy, but a double tap will turn on.

Hi @MikeWard  - the auto wake is for raising your your arm from a standing ir sitting position and involves a twist of the wrist.

if you are lying down consider using the button or double tap to wake the display.

Also consider setting a sleep schedule so the watch won't do auto wake at all and you are not woken by it coming on accidentally.

You can still use the button, as double tapping at night my annoy the neighbors!!

Thanks Guy_, but you didn't tell me anything I didn't already know.

I would like it to work even if my arm isn't angled just the way that Fitbit has currently implemented it.

@MikeWard - you can't change how it works, but you can submit a feature suggestion.
