The time on my Versa Lite is off by more than 12 hrs and it won't sync to the app. HELP!

The time resets itself whenever it syncs to your phone so once you get syncing going again it should sort itself out.
The usual things to try when you get syncing issues are:
If none of those ideas work for you then it’s probably best to contact customer support via: contact.fitbit.com
Once it has synced, if your time is still wrong then it's worth checking that your timezone settings is correct at https://www.fitbit.com/settings/profile
