Hello @Wexford2022. I just want to make sure I understand your question. You did 6,000 steps but it did not record any exercise? Can you describe your exercise? Did you do a long walk and get those 6,000 steps or was that 6,000 steps taken throughout the day?
Your Fitbit can auto-track some activity, but if your heart rate isn't high enough or there isn't enough movement, it might not track all your activity as exercise. The best way to have your exercise accurately tracked is to do so from your Versa 3 exercise app. You can record walks, runs, hikes, bike rides, outdoor activity, swimming, etc all on your watch and then you know it will be recorded as an exercise for the week.

@Wexford2022 Sorry for the late reply, but to me it seems like since the 6,000 steps were done slowly over the course of the entire day, then it wouldn't count as an exercise. I don't get exercise credit for steps taken when I'm walking around the house or the grocery store, that isn't exercise that's just daily movement. In order for your Fitbit to record steps as an exercise automatically, you'll need to be walking or moving continuously for at least 10 minutes with an elevated heart rate. Or, you can start an activity like walking from your Fitbit directly.
Simply walking around the house won't trigger the Fitbit that you were exercising. Maybe if you were cleaning your house for awhile or doing yardwork, then with the movements and higher rate it would assume you were doing some kind of activity. But general movement throughout the day isn't really exercise.
